| THE MOTORCYCLE RIDER COURSE

The Motorcycle Rider Course is a comprehensive Rider Training System
which focuses on the needs of individual students. The course is
based on adult learning principles and student-centered learning
allowing students more opportunities to make judgments that will
help prepare them for the street.

The Motorcycle Rider Course is designed to prepare riders for
entry into the complex world of traffic. It consists of classroom
and on-motorcycle instruction, and includes a variety of learning
activities. Classroom experiences consist of 5 hours of Rider Coach-led
discussions. On-motorcycle instruction is conducted on a paved area
away from street traffic. A total of 14-15 hours of instruction
makes up the Motorcycle Rider Course.
The course is based on years of scientific research and field experience,
which has successfully trained over 2 million participants to date.
It has been tested with several hundred-novice riders and has proven
to be successful in developing the entry-level skills for riding
in traffic. The Motorcycle Rider Course teaches fundamental skills
and is not intended to produce the superb riding skills of an experienced
rider; rather, it provides the basic entry-level skills for a new
rider to begin practicing and developing the mental and motor skills
important for safe street operation.
The
Motorcycle Rider Course is here to provide the fundamentals of safe
& responsible motorcycling. This includes the knowledge and
skills that lead to licensing and motorcycle operation on the streets
and highways, Certified Motorcycle Rider Course Rider Coaches provide
a safe, positive learning environment.
Classes are conducted 1 to 3x a month, with options for students
to use schools bikes for an additional charge. Private classes for
clubs can be arranged.
